RESPITE PROGRAM

What is Respite?

Our Respite Program is a “short-stay” program that allows seniors to come to Paradise Park overnight, or up to a month.

Why use Respite?

  • If you’re vacationing or just need a break
  • If you’d like to “try out” placement options
  • If your loved one needs to regain strength after a hospitalization or nursing home stay before returning home
  • If you or your loved one has scheduled an elective surgery and would like added support during recovery
  • You’d like long-term placement, but need time to arrange an out-of-state move.

What's Included?

  • Fully furnished apartment
  • Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ex: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
    24-hour staffing
  • Therapy Center on-site and Optional Fall Prevention Programming
  • 3 meals a day and snacks
  • Laundry, towel and linen service
  • Medication reminders
  • Phone and Direct TV service
  • Activity Programming.

How does it work?

Once our staff determines whether or not your loved one’s needs can be met at Paradise Park, you can reserve your Respite stay. Our professional staff will then assess each Resident’s needs upon arrival and develop an individualized plan of service for their stay.

What should we bring?

  • A current history and physical
  • Medications for the duration of your stay
  • Medicare and/or secondary insurance cards
  • Clothing, pajamas, and outerwear
  • Toiletries
  • Other items of comfort
